Just Finished Dinner Dad! |
Now to the run. 5am, 68 degrees, 6 mile recovery run, last day in my cycle before a running rest day. I expected my legs to be sore and fatigued. I get outside, I feel a lot better than I normally do going into this. Maybe training is paying off? I keep it slow, why risk it. I see a bunch of new faces today, maybe running before it gets hot.
The run itself was smooth. Park district was doing lawn work which gave me slightly itchy eyes. And I didn't notice until I looped back, trees were getting foliage. FINALLY. And I decided to jump off path to take in the sunrise for a minute, and saw another runner doing the same thing down at the water. I think the photo captures the feels (runner in the photo was taking a photo a moment prior)
Wish I could have sat there and meditated |
Final thought, the other day I saw a young lady jogging with a Coach wristlet in hand. Is she just being green and reusing and old product, this going to be a new trend, or still hanging on to too much while running? Wish I could run again today, so nice.
I have always been baffled by women who run with wristlets - Do you really need THAT much with you when you run?
ReplyDeleteMaybe we need some coach and prada running fannie packs? If she planned on using it outside of running, I have to imagine its just going to be sweaty, ick.
ReplyDeleteYour daughter is just ADORABLE.
ReplyDeleteI've recently noticed that trees are getting foliage, too - isn't it wonderful?!?!?
That sunrise photo is absolutely gorgeous. I wish I could have sat there and meditated, too. But how nice is it to be running early in the mornings with the sun out or rising, as opposed to in darkness? Woo hoo!
thanks! she looks mostly like my wife!
ReplyDeleteI can't tell you how much I am loving the light now. Darkness is okay sometimes, but I get so jealous of people that get to run during the day. Now as it gets warmer and lighter in the morning, I'll finally have the advantage.
And watching the sunrise every day is great!
I noticed buds on the trees too! I'm so glad spring is finallllyyy here. Looks like you had a fantastic run. I wish I could have benefitted from some early morning runs this week but my leg is giving me too much trouble :-/
ReplyDeleteCute kiddo!! I think the coach wristlet is the most "minimal" that the woman owns. Maybe she's just getting into running and hasn't figured out how to cut out the phone & wallet, or is running with her phone for safety but doesn't know of the spi-belts and all.
